Is looking for work like dating?

You know or at least most of the time when you're wasting your time in the pursuit of somebody and when its time to give up the ghost. Although there are some schools of thought that insist persistence is the key and will win you the job or the girl.

Its rare in life that is exasperation that anybody would ask another person 'Am I wasting my time here?'. I don't think I've ever done it either although I've felt like asking many times.

You can gild the lily and elaborate upon what you have or what you present to try and get what you want. Ultimately it might just come down to personality or is still ability?

Its probably not just one thing that decides such things but I gotta know 'Am I wasting my time here?.

absolutely not!
but you are right, it is a bit like dating or "looking for love". a few years ago, when job hunting, a friend reeled off a shona adage that, at the end of it, means that good things arrive when you are tired. it was true in that case. sometimes you are lucky and things drop into your lap. sometimes you feel as though there is no hope in sight and, boom, something pops up.

job hunting is very difficult as it is like you are on trial and the challenge is not to take it personally. keep in mind how fantastic you are and how we cannot be compatible with everything.

i hope i made a little sense.

I don't know which is worse...
I think I'd rather ask a date than an employer if I was wasting my time. lol
But ultimately, I think you should persist with job hunting because that involves several people and not just one that keeps saying no to you. lol
