I think the unintentional air of menace comes from the lack of people in the pictures.
There were plenty of people around and the company I was with was absolutely irreplaceable and there were smiles and laughs but we're shy so you'll just have to take my word.
Although if you play detective you may find more pictures from the day.

Heh, you might be right. This set is somewhat less menacing than the first set though - the pig DID look ominous from down low.
Is there some kind of microclimate creating weird animal species? ;)
It's not scarier that the contemportary musuems I've visited.
