Oscars - Best Picture Nominees

'Brokeback Mountain'
'Capote'
'Crash'
'Good night, and Good Luck'
'Munich'

I haven't seen any of these films...'Crash' is on my DVD rentals que, 'Munich' has just been released as has 'Brokeback Mountain'. 'Capote' and 'Good Night, Good Luck' haven't been released in the U.K. yet.

For somebody who was making a living working in movies, I haven't seen very much!

Although two films that I did work on in 2004 did get nominated in a couple of categories...so I'm guilty by association even if I was the smallest clog in a different department from the one that got nominated, I was on the crewlist.

Hope everybody is full of joy and feeling happy happy wherever you are on Earth...

When's the mothership coming back for me?

I'm in a weird mood...

Really, you worked in films that were nominated? That must've felt good :) And congratulations!
I haven't seen any of those films either but I don't think they are in Portugal yet. I always get the feeling that the Oscar nominations only pick films of this time of the year, forgetting everything that went on before. Were any of those films released in the Summer or even Spring of last year? Or is it their policy to only release the good films now? It's strange.

With the Oscars "all the fish is sold beforehand" as well.It is networking after all folks.

I am enchanted you seem to be in what you call and "strange mood" Finn, it sounds like a positive one to me. I reckon that if you have taken a moment to compare it with the rest of the world, I have to agree: it is somehow rare. Good for you anyway :-)

The Starblazers mother ship is about to become the victor in a 3 day long battle with the Xerons, known for Robotech like human-robat technowarfare machines. The beautiful blonde second in command is wounded and in the triage section. Doped up on Morvine her dreamlike musings are not random but are focusing on you and the guilt she feels about having to leave you on earth to continue to gather data for the Starblazer dynasty.

Or

1) just put a large *X* on your window in duct tape and hope Mr X will lead the Mothership back to you...

2) post *rescue me* messages on Chewbacca's blog and hope the Millenium Falcon will collect you and subsequently lead the Mothership back to you...

happy and full of joy? only when i'm not in training in my boring job. just a few more weeks left! though it gives me quite the chance to peruse blogs during the downtime.

I want to see a bunch of those films too. No time, with the two jobs & all...:( Also, the Johnny Cash movie, and more...but I forget what they are.

I think the mothership is in the shop. They just don't build those things like they used to.

The mothership left me behind a long time ago. I'm currently debating whether or not it's worth it to go back.

I wonder if Munich will win anything this year. It seems to be ignored lately.
