Everyday is Like Sunday
I'm not doing so well this week and I know I had decided against posting negative, self absorbed posts but here's one.
I am frustrated and fed up because:
- I can't lift the bowls out the kitchen cupboard for my lunch.
- My neck and shoulder aches.
- I don't have a clue what I'm going to do when I've recovered in March.
- I can't escape from the ticking in my chest.
- I feel isolated and lost. (Drama Queen - Boo f****in Hoo!)
It's not much of a post this one but I feel a bit better for expressing myself...
And I know I have to be more positive and to believe that better days are on the horizon and I must be optimistic...
I just need to find the map or at least be pointed in the right direction.
I need a Mr Miyagi (The Karate Kid) in my life...

Henri Ducard: You traveled the world... Now you must journey inwards... to what you really fear... it's inside you... there is no turning back. Your parents' death was not your fault. Your training is nothing. The will is everything. If you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, you become something else entirely. Are you ready to begin?

I can't lift the bowls out the kitchen cupboard and i haven't had an operation.
Come on Finn. Start compiling your portofolio. You have great talent. Forget everything else. That's a direction, isn't it?
I'm checking on you again later.
Kreese: Fear does not exist in this dojo, does it?
Karate Student: No, Sensei.
Kreese: Pain does not exist in this dojo, does it?
Karate Student: No, Sensei.
Kreese: Defeat does not exist in this dojo, does it?
Karate Student: No, Sensei.

some misery and self pity is ok. too much is not. this is a phase, just take it bit by bit, and ask yourself to look at positive things around you. Eventually you will see them.
I thought I was the only one who could quote from the Karate Kid; I was obsessed with Ralf Machio; I wanted to marry him. I saw that movie three times in the theatre, and bought a bandana...
The only good thing about days like this is that they make the good days feel even that much better. You'll come around and in the meantime, take care of yuor health and look ahead. Things will brighten up.
I wish I can bring some sunshine to you! I need to find them in my life, first! x
I'm better at depressing people than cheering them up, but I'll give it a try anyway. :)
Just know that it's ok to feel down. We all do at some point - granted, some more than others, myself included - but like all things, those tough times pass. Right now, it's hard to imagine better days are ahead. Focus on the now and getting through each day. That's what I've had to do lately. And always remember, you are not alone!
here i am again. how's the portfolio going? eh? (Mrs Miyagi asked)
Somestimes is good just to take those things off your chest. Things probably seem worse because you've got a lot of time on your hands to obsess about it but you know it'll get better.
Are you ready to begin? You are ready. It's just a super crappy time of year to begin the endeavor, but begin you must. Surely there's some useful Yoda wisdom floating around the internet too...Aaaah there goes my battery permanently. Be back when the power cord comes in! (or, alternately, when next bored at the office)
Yeah! You do quote Morrissey lyrics, however. That is good.
Great joy at the post office this morning. Thank you SO much & it couldn't have come at a better time. (see the current blue mood post on MY blog...something is definitely going around :( I will blog happily about it when I am back "officially" on line.
I am sorry to hear that, just remember the sentence: "this too will pass".
And if nothing reliefs you imagine you are a woman: we suffer all sorts of pains once a month -not kidding- and we have learnt to develope that so called ineer strength. If you understand suffering better you'll be able to understand happiness much better Finn, honest.
I think you should be able to have a mope and feel sorry for yourself as yo have clearly been through a lot. just make sure you know how to snap out of it when you want to
Don't you have a passion, something you love to do? If so, there's your direction. Go for it like you have nothing to lose.
I would say my passion was reserved for my work but when you haven't worked you start to question if there is room in your life for that work.
sometimes a little depression is good. it can force you to get yourself up and out. i'm just now peeking over the edge of mine. it's hard, but very worth it.
things that helped me: forcing myself to do things i didn't immediately want to. like, getting out of the house, cleaning, waking up, meeting with friends.
