'About Schmidt' DVD

'About Schmidt' DVD starring Jack Nicholson.

Another film about male aimlessness, I seem to be watching alot of them recently.
This is the retired version of the male aimlessness film and just how important a woman was to a man. And yes he does take a road trip...

Its very interesting to see Jack Nicholson dressing down his personality, this is an actor who's flamboyance outside of his work was at one time the zenith of cool despite his portly appearance. Here he is not larger than life and its a pretty amazing performance that captures the weariness in the character.

Sometimes we have to act our age but not always...

Maybe I should go on a roadtrip across America...

your mission, should you chose to except, it to call up two mates, dress up nicely, go to a fun area like Hoxton or Clapham, go to a restaurant with a bar, eat, get sloshed, go to another bar, get further sloshed, talk to girls not to get a snog/shag, but just to talk to them. there, out of aimlesness, and into the fire.

I haven't seen About Schmidt, but I do wholeheartedly support road trips of any sort. Think of the blogging and photo opportunities!

Completely off-topic, you should have a mix-CD from me any day now. Thanks for visiting my blog(s), postcards, etc, etc.

Have fun with all the colleagues.

i love that movie. my favourite scene is the first one where he stares at the clock and when it strikes 5, like Cinderella, he grabs his coat and leaves his office forever.
