Points of Reference
I think my ponts of reference are movies.
An event, what somebody says or does makes me think of a movie and a scene. A photograph can trigger this off, a word, a person's outfit, the first thing that comes to mind will be a line from a movie or a scene in a movie. I watch a hell of alot of movies unfortunately more on DVD than at the cinema.
I've noticed other people can come up with songs to fit their emotions or a picture or a scene or an event that they have experienced.
Others will remember a piece of writing or poetry.
What is your point of reference?
Movies I saw at the weekend:
'Ping Pong'
'Ong Bak'

Songs do it for me.
I second Stephanie. I don't watch all that many movies.
Definitely songs. Sometimes I like music more, sometimes less because it is attached to a particular memory or a time in my life. I have my i-pod with me all the time. I don't have time to sit and watch as many movies as I'd like to.
My point of reference definitely a song. My best memories could be a soundtrack.
Or smell. I once followed a man through Selfridges because he wore the same cologne as someone, just to keep smelling it as opposed to being a stalker. (It was an unusual fragrance, otherwise I'd have stayed by the perfume counter...!)

points of reference... travel maybe.
i love walking on chill mornings remembering my travels all over. the smell in the air, the dew, the way the traffic sounds...
